Immigration Evaluations

Psychosocial Evaluations are used to help immigration courts determine if an individual or the family can lawfully remain in the United States, these assessments are based on specific factors and circumstances. Our priority is to make personal experiences a significant factor in the case, to demonstrate the potential hardship and negative ramifications if the individual or family were to return to an unfamiliar or dangerous country.

What to expect with the Psychosocial Evaluations

The clinician will conduct a clinical interview with the client and their immediate family. This interview will help the clinician gather important information about your psychological, medical, and social history, as well as your current cognitive and psychological functioning. We take into perspective the emotional challenges many clients face, and we take care to de-stigmatize symptoms, offer grounding support during interviews, and when recommended, we provide clients with resources and referrals to begin therapy after the evaluation. This ensures continuity of care and strengthens both client wellbeing and case outcomes.
